Cowboy Boots

Cowboy boots are a style of riding boots. This means they are designed for horseback riding. Distinct features which come from this include a good length to protect the rider from the saddle and a heel designed to hold to the stirrup.

Traditionally, cowboy boots have no laces. For functional, everyday use, they are commonly created from cowhide leather. This material is very durable and pretty affordable. An added benefit is that it wears well.

Cowboy boots may also be purchased in flashier styles. In these circumstances they are often created from more exotic materials. Examples of this include ostrich, snake, eel, lizard, anteater, alligator and elephant.
